WHY DENTAL CROWNS CAN RESTORE MOST TEETH

A dental crown is a unique restoration that mimics the top part, or crown, of your tooth, which rests above the gum line. Though crowns can meet a number of restorative dentistry needs, they are also crafted with enough skill and artistry that they can serve a variety of cosmetic purposes, as well. To meet a greater array of patients’ needs, Dr. Cornelius also offers partial crowns, or inlays and onlays, that can cover just a portion of the tooth, rather than its entire crown.

Dental Crowns in Just One Day!

Usually, preparing for, designing, and placing a dental crown requires at least two visits. During your first appointment, your dentist will prepare, measure, and make a mold of your teeth to guide the crown’s creation. When you return, the dental crown crafted from the mold of your teeth will be permanently secured over your tooth.

Crown (With Impression)

CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is an innovative technology that allows Dr. Cornelius to craft and place your porcelain or zirconia dental crown in a single visit. Rather than having to create a mold of your teeth, CEREC utilizes advanced technology to measure your tooth and oral structures digitally. The digital measurements are then sent to an on-site milling machine, where your dental crown will be precisely crafted and then permanently placed, within an hour or two.
