Ready For Clear Braces?

clearbracestrayholdIf you’re ready to align your smile then you may be ready for clear braces. Not sure how to figure out whether this orthodontic treatment is right for you? First, we will need to begin by scheduling a consultation with you to find out what type of misalignment is affecting the way your teeth fit together. Our clear aligner systems don’t work for everyone but they certainly address a long list of malocclusions – or poorly aligned teeth and jaws. Wondering what type of misalignment you’re dealing with and if there are any other requirements that will help you qualify? Learn a bit more to clear up any confusion.

Qualifying Types of Misalignment

Clear aligner systems, such as Invisalign, do not rely on the use of brackets and wires. If you have individual teeth that require shifting that are left unaffected by the clear trays, then you may not qualify for treatment. However, many types of misalignment do qualify. You may make a good candidate for clear braces if you suffer from one of the following:

  • Open bite
  • Over bite
  • Under bite
  • Cross bite
  • Spacing
  • Overcrowding

Are You Ready for Treatment?

Clear braces require responsibility to ensure you make it through treatment efficiently and successfully. Fortunately, as long as you are good at keeping up with daily hygiene and remembering to wear your trays, you’re likely in good shape. Consider the following requirements of treatment. If they sound good to you, you may make a great candidate for clear braces:

  • You will need to wear the trays for approximately 20 to 22 hours each day
  • You will wear one or a set of trays for approximately two weeks before moving on to your next set in the treatment series
  • You will remove your trays to eat or drink or to brush or floss your teeth
